2008 PIGSKIN PLAY ACTION RULES

The Grizzly Detail Newspaper’s Pigskin Play Action runs for 11 weeks…August 27
through November 5, 2008.
Contestants must pick the winner for each of the 12 football games listed to be
played that specific weekend. A rating system might be used in some games to
provide a certain number of points for a selected team to help close the point
spread between the two teams playing. Those points will be added to the final
points scored by that team in that game to determine the winner of the game. In
case of a tie score once points are added, the winner of the game will be both
teams for contest purposes. Ballots will be corrected weekly through November
11, 2008.
Entries: One original entry per person per week. No photocopies. Contest
ballots will appear in The Grizzly Detail Newspaper starting August 27, 2008
through November 5, 2008. Mailed entries should be sent to: Pigskin Play Action
2008, The Grizzly Detail, PO Box 151342, Fort Worth, TX 76108. Weekly deadline is
5 p.m. every Friday (for that weekend’s games.) Entries postmarked after that
weeks Friday deadline will be disqualified. Not responsible for postal service
errors or delays. All entries become property of The Grizzly Detail Newspaper,
which will be the sole judge of all ballots and rules. Please mark ballots with a
pen, fill in the entire square, fill in all information blanks, then trim on the dotted
line. No erasures, no white-outs, no cross-outs. Entries not conforming in every
respect will be disqualified.
Inquiries concerning the contest must be directed to the Marketing Department
(817-690-6929). Entry constitutes an agreement by the winner to allow his/her
name to be used by The Grizzly Detail Newspaper for publicity purposes. The
Grizzly Detail Newspaper will not be responsible for entries delayed or lost for
any reason, nor for entries not received or misinterpreted. Games may be
eliminated from the contest under the following circumstances: 1) If they are
started before 5:00 p.m. Friday (Central Time), 2) If they are not finished by
midnight Sunday (Central Time), or 3) If the game is not played. A change in
location of a game, however, will not eliminate that game from the contest. The
Grizzly Detail Newspaper will be the sole and final judge of a game’s eligibility.
Prizes: Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail, and winners’ names will be
printed in the next Wednesday’s paper. If for any reason the contest is not
played, no prizes will be awarded, or if the contest is cancelled during its run,
prizes will be awarded only for the portion of the contest that has been played.
Prizes to be determined by The Grizzly Detail.
